please don't fixate on symptoms that may be readily managed via attention to magnesium intake and status. especially in the context of regular high dose d3, with no cofactor intake whatever! your d3 levels are unlikely to increase properly, without enough magnesium and other cofactors on board.

if you will not consider adding another supplement then please consider taking a break from the d3 so that your body can retain a few more essentials rather than giving up a bunch to d3 interactions on a weekly basis.

i can't overemphasize how close i felt to death when overdoing d3 and underdoing magnesium myself.

i also don't want to see one more TiMS member lost to the suffering associate with ongoing d3 intakes while leaving magnesium levels at the extreme lower end of the normal range.

please make the effort to rule out magnesium deficit in your case. you can test it out probably even with some low budget crappy corner store product and if you feel a difference then commit to a better quality purchase (still less than $20)

FYI. I started taking 800mg of GNC super magnesium. Is that enough? I’m trying anything.

well, i made a lengthy response to this post yesterday. dunno what happened :S no time to reinvent the wheel today!

'short' version:

re GNC, don't think so. find magnesium glycinate, ideally in 200 mg powder capsules.

also find a high potency (ie active men's), 3 a day multi vit/min, taken at or near mealtimes.

each time you take a multi, take a mag too. see how you go. i'm not really worried about you ending up taking too much in the circumstances, but it can happen and make muscles feel sluggish as opposed to spastic. mag is best taken 15 mins before food.

consider a break from the d3, to give your body a chance at the magnesium inputs (not as big an issue when the dose is weekly but still).

if you can get serum magnesium done the next time your d3 level is tested, great idea to monitor.

also consider potassium. good to know potassium results if you have them handy, see if it looks worth it.
i've purchased 600mg pills over the counter (without prescription, but not off the shelf). age 4 and up need 4700mg per day, so you can take at least one with each meal. i try to get all my potassium from food these days but if that is not realistic, the pills are there.
pls don't buy an off the shelf 99mg version - i don't know how that is not just a waste of time :S

AND finally, add a fish oil gelcap (i've seen one a days, two a days) or straight liquid if you prefer, to help fight inflammation.

no probs :) please note that high dose d3 interactions with mag are in the 'calls for research' stage. if your docs have not monitored or added mag in context with a high dose d3 prescription, they are not likely on top of the latest. if they are and have a research case countering such cofactor considerations, i would love to see the studies informing that rationale.

also, you gotta check out today's news!! http://www.thisisms.com/forum/undiagnos ... ml#p254863
i am going to post in the other more relevant thread too, for general readers' benefit
