What make you feel better/worse (short terms)
What make you feel better/worse (short terms)
The severity of MS symptoms often tend to vary a lot from day to day. I have posted in this subject before, because I find this phenomenon a bit strange and interesting.
I'm particulary interested in what makes a rapid (hour to hour, day to day) difference on severity of symptoms. Feel free to post just about anything!
I have noted some things below as an example of what I am looking for:
--Makes symptoms better--
-Alcohol
-Heat
-Cold
-Magnesium supplements
-Intense sunlight
-LDN
--Makes symptoms worse--
-Heat
-Cold
-Stress
-Nicotine (smoking)
-Food (gluten, fatty food... etc etc)
/MacGyver

Alcohol: Worse (at least temporarily)
I had a facial spasm several months ago and found my first alcoholic drink at the end of the day aggravated it a lot for an hour or so. The gymnastics seemed to calm back down to their normal dance after the second drink, however.
Stress and fatigue: Worse

Worse:
HEAT is my biggest enemy and can knock me down almost instantly
stress is another biggie
lack of sleep and not enough down time or rests
driving bothers me most of the time
extreme cold makes my hands and feet feel like they are on fire
better:
cooling off how every I can at the time, ice packs, AC, cool drinks, swimming - but if the water is too cool on my hands and feet it makes them worse
rest
a good laugh
getting away from stress

Things that help/hurt
I don't know why anyone has said this, but sex ALWAYS helps me!
lots of spinach/carrot juice, yoga, Yerba Matte tea, walking, time outside, our cats and dog, and sleep makes me feel better.
sugar, candy, junk food, and alcohol usually makes me feel bad.
