For fifty years I can truthfully say that I never met a donut that I didn't like - or a pie, cake, chocolate anything, triple fudge sundaes etc. You get the idea. I had a very sweet tooth.
Now, all of a sudden, I just don't eat this stuff any more. Very little desire for anything sweet - sometimes early in the day but almost never past mid-afternoon.
Now I find myself wondering if this is a function of the disease or possibly the treatment (Rebif) which I have been on since mid-July, or is it something else entirely. Mentioned it to my GP last visit - he found it a bit weird but good - the less sugar the better. AS I am still in my first six months on Rebif I have blood work done monthly and it hasn't shown any other issues.
Has any one else out there had a similar experience?

sweets
I used to love sweets-can't eat them at all anymore-I just don't like them, and I don't feel well after I eat cakes, cookies, candy, ect..I am not on rebif, I am on copaxone. This started right around my DX in 2000. I always thought, being 41 years old at that time, that I finally "grew out of" my sweet phase!!!!
In my opinion, some of it, at least, is a maturing of the taste buds. All of our tastes change over the years. That's why kids hate cabbage, broccolli and fish but adults learn to like them (some do anyway).
I always had a sweet tooth but now seldom ever have a notion for a sweet or a cookie or even sugar in my coffee. It also never occurred to me, that it might be down to the MS as the change in taste happened long before my first flare.
Make do with sweet thoughts ....
