No much in this article, but three point interested me:

- reference to LINGO (work by Biogen)
- reference to damage in MS being similar to stroke damage
- reference to the gene work on MS and forecasting that the relevant genes might be identified in 2009.

Interesting article...thanks for posting it.

Participants generally agreed that change in attitudes and approach are needed across the board.

It makes one wonder why it has taken several decades for these people to come up with such a basic comment. Can you imagine where MS research might be today if the MS World of Medicine had taken this route back in the 1980's?!

There were a few comments in the article that pretty much tells us just why MS research has progressed so poorly....the university researchers do not have the tools nor the financing to properly do their work and the drug companies, who do have the money, are interested in making money and not taking risks. Sort of a catch 22. don't you think?

BTW, don't see you posting much this past while.
