British petition for LDN

This was on an LDN site. It is a petition for British citizens to sign to get their Government to fund a trial of LDN on the NHS. I thought I would post this here for any British citizens who may like to do this.

"Low Dose Naltrexone (LDN) is a drug that is credited with helping those with HIV/AIDS, cancer, autoimmune diseases, and central nervous system disorders (including MS) by boosting the immune system. As well as being effective it is cheap, costing less than one pound a day, and could save the NHS vast sums of money. We therefore urge the Government to fund a trial of LDN on the NHS so that everyone in the UK can reap the benefits of this drug." (summary)


We have created a petition to number 10 Downing street to urge the government to take the necessary steps to trial this drug and achieve the licenses necessary to make this drug available on the NHS. Currently, this lack of a license is preventing many GP's from having the confidence to prescribe it.

Because of the lack of interest by the normal bodies who conduct trials - the drug companies - without political intervention, we will probably never see this drug trialled. Therefore, we need your help in this matter to overcome the apathy which is standing in the way.
