I am not sure how taking tysabri affects us as far as getting infections , flus etc. Have we got no immune system at all or is it just very low?

Tysabri does not ablate (or get rid of) the entire immune system, Greenmachine--as chemotherapies do. But it does deplete the immune system and leave you open to many more infections--most notably PML, respiratory infections, urinary tract infections, gastroenteritis, herpes and meningitis. Here's the complete prescribing info on Tysabri, and infection risks. http://www.tysabri.com/prescribingInfo

talk this over with your doctor,
