NMSS Bulletin on Antegren

Post by OddDuck »

I just now saw the NMSS's bulletin regarding Antegren that was just posted on their website (dated 11-8-04).

Well, I have to say (for what it's worth), that I approve. I couldn't have worded it better myself for them (given their "leadership" role in MS).

They basically are doing what I said I was doing just a minute ago. Letting the FDA deal with it. HAH!

We BOTH put the ball in the FDA's court. hmmmmmm........the pressure is on the FDA now!

This ought to prove very interesting.

Deb,

Biogen used to be a big contributor to the NMSS. Serono have gradually replaced them as the favorite. I trust that the NMSS will not go out of their way to promote anything that Biogen is doing. The NMSS is very good at this kind of political game :-))

Harry,

I realize you and I might have a slightly different level of support for the NMSS (I'm a huge supporter of the NMSS - and I'm not speaking from a financial perspective here), but aside from that difference of opinion, in this particular case, I was holding my breath about how the NMSS would proceed (especially after all that I had found) - for their own protection.

I was TOTALLY relieved to see the Bulletin written the way it was. As I said, I couldn't have written it better had I written it myself for them, given my current reservations about Antegren! (And if you don't know by now, I'll tell ya.........I'm a "detail" person, especially professionally!)

Deb,

Most of my perspective about the NMSS comes from their handling and inside "work" on how they treated Prokarin. I was privy to some of the inside meetings that EDMS (makers of Prokarin) had with the NMSS and after that....well, let's just say that my respect for the NMSS went out the window.

But that is my personal feeling about them and I don't expect other people to share that, especially if their experience with the NMSS has been far different. I know that they have encouraged you to continue with your research and have been supportive to you. Fortunately, you aren't perceived as a threat to them in any way so it's all smiles...so far :D

Yea, I realize that, also, Harry.

But hey, that's the way it is with everything. Especially in the world I live in. :D

It's a "fine line", as they say.

Deb

EDIT: Or........maybe it's all smiles because I "could" become a threat to them???? (Geez, I'm playing devil's advocate to MYSELF!) 8O

SECOND EDIT: Well, in any event, at this point in time, speaking only personally also, they do have my support. :P
