Regarding EDDS comparisons, it should come in Phase III.
..
Geneuro is currently in discussion to find a new financial partner.
Re: MSRV Retrovirus, phase 2
I have also found a review about the trial in the web. It seems that the results are very promising:

Re: MSRV Retrovirus, phase 2
1)I can read (Page 20) : "3.8% of patients with 12-week confirmed worsening in neurological disability from CHANGE-MS baseline to week 48 ANGEL (at 18mg/Kg)"
=>So it's not working for everyone
2)I can also read (Page 21): Adverse Events for 44.2% of patients. That's HUGE!
Point "1)" seems to show a positive correlation between the % of patients and the dosage. So I guess higher dosage will lead to almost 0% worsening.
However, point "2)" is really disturbing!
You said (Page 3 of this thread) this product was a revolution.
For me, a revolution means 100% safe.
Don't you agree?
Re: MSRV Retrovirus, phase 2
Unfortunately, in MS a revolution is anything that can delay the disease. What we have now, only prevents inflammatory attacks, with no effects in the long term.
Besides it is not clear what adverse event means. It could be just a headache.
But the most interesting part is not if this drug works, but the things we are learning. Now it seems pretty clear that HERVs are the cause of microglial activation (the root cause of progression) and just a couple of years ago this was unknown.
Re: MSRV Retrovirus, phase 2
Hi Frodo,
I trully hope, more than anybody, that Geneuro will provide something efficient to us.
BUT, there is a HUGE difference between what I hope and what I can see.
Indeed, on a hand:
-As you said: "it seems pretty clear that HERVs are the cause of microglial activation (the root cause of progression)"
-Studies from Geneuro showed their product was working
-Information above was shared in important media like "medicalresearch.com" or "pnas.org"
on the other hand:
-There isn't a single company like Biogen or Roche, which is interested in Geneuro's product
-The companies I mentioned above have departments dedicated to find business opportunities
-It's been more than one year since Geneuro is trying to find a partnership to continue its development...
So, to sum up:
Some MSers behind their computers (driven by hope)talk about revolution, but the market doesn't give a dam about Geneuro.
So pls allow me to have some doubts here...

Re: MSRV Retrovirus, phase 2
Because for the first time, i seems tht someone found the trigger explanation for the desease.
For the first time, this product would BLOCK the degeneration process, leading to disability.
WITHOUT side effects, it doesn't modify IN ANY WAY immunity system.
"An adverse event (AE) is any untoward medical occurrence in a patient or clinical investigation subject administered a pharmaceutical product and which does not necessarily have a causal relationship with this treatment." (wiki)
The discussion to find a patner in order to get a partnersship is currently in progress.
This kind of discussion is ALWAYS long, please be patient.
Results of phase II will be presented at ECTRIMS in Stckholm tomorrow.

Are you sure?

Please wait.
Until the end of the Sweden trial (end of 2021)
You could be amazed
