Very well said, and Welcome from another Canadian.

Most of the discussion on this site seems to be around research, supplements, regimens, with an occasional bout of snake oil, quack doctors etc. so hopefully its the right fit for you. But this is the internet, home of conspiracy theorists and amateur scientists so be sure to apply a good dose of common sense to what you read. Eating vegtables and praying will not cure MS. But stabalizing vitamins, minerals and having a positive mindset (which you clearly do) may give us better chances.

Cheers!

And well said, Kronk! :-D And hello from the U.S., MissLux!
Dx'd with MS & HNPP (hereditary peripheral neuropathy) 7/03 but must have had MS for 30 yrs before that. I've never taken meds for MS except 1 yr experiment on LDN. (I found diet, exercise, sleep, humor, music help me the most.)

Actually, Kronk, "Eating vegetables and praying" MAY "cure" MS for some individuals, since praying for some people reduces stress and can be viewed as a "positive mindset". I call MS the "Rigidity Disease". Cheers

If you were asking for advise, I would tell you that nothing is written in stone when it comes to MS. There is always hope. But since you don't want any advise, I won't give you any. I will just say hello and wish you success and happyness from a former Canuk.

The amount of woo and pseudo-science here (despite being regularly challenged, thank you to those that challenge it) sure makes it seem like this is not the place for me.

Does anyone know of any science-based MS forums that have reputable information? Not MS World...

Hi Misslux:

As you can probably see, I've been a member of this board for quite some time, but haven't posted in a while, for various reasons. However, i do check this board from time to time, and was troubled by your post. When I first joined this website, I thought it was the best website around for MS patients and their caregivers. Posts were about the latest medication, therories, daily living, etc. Sure, sometimes threads got heated, but they were always based around the best way of treating multiple scelrosis.

Somewhere along the line things changed; perhaps that's just the nature of the internet. But now, this site seems to be based around the freedom to post nonsensical... no, just plain garbage. Long time members of this site have been banned for much less. i don't know why the moderators tolerate it, and I don't know why other members encourage it.

Regardless, I can undertand why you would seek out another site. if you send me a private message, I may be able to suggest some other websites. Best of luck.
