Famous people with MS

Post by adjanimals »

There is a list of famous people with MS on
http://www.mult-sclerosis.org
You would think some of them would get together and organize a pool for research outside the normal path. Like for LDN.
Alan Osmond is said to have headed to England and got involved with the Goat Serum (Aimspro) study. http://www.osmondms.com
No update on his condition. Money talks thier.
There are others that I'm sure have plenty of money or better resources than the average person.
I did try an email to Mr. Osmand but recieved no response.
I know from being in a trial 10 years ago they don't like when you discuss how you feel with others but a simple "Doing OK" would have been fine with me.

Money talks where? England? The land of free health care at the point of entry? It may not be perfect but you get quite far without having resources and private isurance. So why on earth are you saying money talks there. Sorry to sound annoyed but it's a bit of a sweeping statement.

Alan Osmond, have a look at this article which gives an update on his conditon http://www.mult-sclerosis.org/news/Jul2 ... forMS.html

whoever you are. 1st, identify yourself, quit hiding behind a quest id. I ment by money talks is that the Osmands' have money to afford to go over to England. I don't. I should have also wrote that the goats are raised in the states and the doctor had to go to England for a drug company. I should have wrote money takes here. CRAB dug companies maybe had something do do with that. Thanks anyway for the update link.

I have to make a correction.
The link that the unidentified quest gave http://www.mult-sclerosis.org/news/Jul2 ... forMS.html
is old news from an article from New Pathways march/april 2004 edition which can be found on http://www.osmondms.com/pathways.pdf
I'm looking for more current info.

Guest, I think adjanimals also was referring to the fact that these trials are difficult to get into and because Mr. Osmond is famous and/or has money, he was (better?) able to get involved.

And as our community has now grown to over 900 (!woohoo!) members, it's time to require people to be registered members prior to posting...
