It's a shame that it's so expensive to have this done. I checked, and to go to Russia or Mexico it's about $75,000 Canadian.

Many other facilities offering this type of procedure have made similar claims about this type of treatment before.

BUT stem cell therapy is at is infancy and still not absolutely proven to work. It may work, but the same claim can be made about so many other totally different MS protocols, all much less costly and more importantly with much less risk/danger. If you read through the article and have a good understanding of MS and MS therapies, the results are not as impressive as they claim. Since the majority of those with MS do well without any intervention, frankly, IMHO, the results are not that impressive at this point in time. But hopefully research will continue and at some point in time the procedure will be proven and the cost will be lowered substantially. And once proven, it should be covered by medical insurance!
