Hi everyone,
Lately I have been having "episodes" of pain in my skin (right now on my hip, have had in in my wrist and leg as well) that feels like I've been severely burned. It is super sensitive with just clothes on it and it hurts so much to have anything touching or moving it. Then... it goes away about a half hour later. Has anyone had something like this? I have chronic neuropathic pain in my leg (painful burning tingling) but this is quite different... so I'm a bit confused.

some of the nutrient issues that are seen in the average ms patient can manifest as a burning sensation. have you had any nutritional bloodwork done, nifty? most relevant tests are covered by OHIP.

Yes I have had those tests and made adjustments... this isn't a burning sensation... this is as if I've already been burned. Like when you burn yourself on the oven only in larger patches.... raw and very sensitive.

how long since your last testing and what is your daily food fluid and supplement regimen like? might need some tweaking.

Hi, I'm posting this for my husband. He's had these issues for years now. Was diagnosed RRMS in 2007, now the MS is continually having a go at him. We've found that with him this raw/burning sensation generally is nerve pain. Not sure if you want to know this, but he has eventually gone numb, total lack of feeling in the areas attacked. The feeling may come back, but generally it's still there (noticeable). He's on Tegretol (anti-epileptic drug). This seems to help a bit, even with the blackouts he used to have. He's not epileptic though.
