I can jog and that does help with tightness I feel in my right leg knee down. I feel it during my jog but stretching before improves it greatly. I don't know if it is the same exact thing as your experiencing but this is what I do. If I get to the point I can't jog then swimming does sound like a wonderful option. I can say that I am unable to do much with my arms, shoulders, and core body as I get almost debilitating stiffness from building types of exercise. My core is strong as I do a lot of work with horses and in the barn, but when doing focused exercise such as Jillian Michaels it literally kills me. I have thought perhaps getting massages may help but have not went that path yet, just sticking to cardio types of workouts.
