I had such a bad day

Post by carolew »

Yesterday was a frightening day... I had not slept properly, not done my exercises (all because of time restraints and changes in the schedule) and was stressed by water in my basement. Mannnn, did I ever get it. My leg did not want to respond to me at all. I had forgotten how to walk and my balance was terrible. I am so afraid of becoming totally useless.
For the first time, the future was scaring me and still is today. I have not been here before emotionally. I am not a complainer but I felt like crying the whole night. I don't cry because if I start, who knows what will become of me. I don't want to loose it.
I see my neurologist tomorrow. She better have a suggestion. I say that and I know darn well that she has no miracle cure. I want this study on FTY720 to start soon!!!! like now!!! I have had it with being patient and hopefull. Today is my birthday. I want some good news for my present. Please....

I also wanted to say happy birthday. If I hear anything new about the study I will let you know.

I'm sorry I don't post often (or I might take a few days to inform you of the information I find out about the clinical trial). My worst symptom is fatigue. I'm pretty sure (or at the very least, I feel like) I have record breaking "ms fatigue"!!!

Hopefully the symptoms you were experiencing yesterday are getting better. Again, happy b-day!

Wow, thank you all. I did see my neuro today. And yes, yes, yes, the study is on and starts next month: phase lll for FTY720... I can't beleive it. I fell through the cracks for so many studies.

Thank you all for your warm wishes, they are very much appreciated.

And yes, I love to read and will get to it asap.

bad days

Post by mick_b »

Hi Carolew:
Happy belated birthday.
There isn’t a lot you can say that’s good about a bad day.

Thanks for posting about your bad day though. I’ve had days where I had to do things which resulted in horrible pay-backs. Some how a bad day is easier to deal with when you know your not the only one.

Congratulations for getting into the study. I keep asking but haven’t landed anything yet. I hope you’ll let us know how it goes.

Thanks again
Mick

Thank you Chris. I am sllloooowwwwwllllyyyy learnig how to use my left leg again. I am always learning how to walk, like a baby. I always have to think: bend and lift your knee then pull up on the big toe.... with every step..... Gets discouraging because I use to learn faster than this time around. I sure hope the FTY720 will continue to work where my lipitor is no longer enough....
