never say never!

Post by jimmylegs »

just took a prophylac-tick 200mg dose of doxy

the sample was probably too damaged for confident id so this is being perhaps overcautious but i'd rather be safe than sorry.

back story:
bitten, day before yesterday pm.
found/removed, yesterday pm.
sample taken in to public health tick drop off this am. advised re 72 hr window for abx
went straight to the doc's office basically unannounced, she squeezed me in and gave me a script
off to the pharmacy, $15 later i am home, fed and medicated.
now to see if i've managed to dodge side effects...

That's great Jimmy from what you've said your not to bad, ms for 13 yrs no ms drugs that's awesome. I took Betaseron 20 years ago out of fear , what if I don't now it's why did I bother. I think eating right and keeping yourself in good shape like you do can have more affect on MS than any drug. But who knows right,

my insurance company had me lined up for rebif right off the bat. but, it was pretty easy for me to blame myself so i opted out. if all i have ever done since is work to remove lifestyle idiocy from my personal ms landscape, it's been worth it so far.
