Does anyone here also suffer from Diabetes type 2?? I take about 9 pills a day for diabetes and high blood pressure... Besides the anti-depressants, vitamin supplements. I believe I read somewhere that MS patients are more subject to developing diabetes... Is this the case???

I was diganosed with Type II Diabetes 5 years ago, and diagnosed with MS in March of this year. I'm only 29 and a medication I was taking for depression likely caused the onset of my diabetes.
Of course this makes me very skeptical about the other medications I'm on for diabetes and depression and what role they could have (if any) with the cause of MS. So far we can't really tell if any neuropathy I experience is the result of which disease!
I feel your pain--what a double whammy!
Keep your spirits up, and I promise to do the same!

I got diagnosed with diabetes II about a year before the MS, right when my wife was diagnosed with cancer, she got thru the op and chemo, and is just fine right now... Knock on wood. So it's been a painful couple of years since... Don't think the anti-depressents had anything to do with it, I've only started taking them. But, we have to keep going with the hope that we can beat this...
Like any movie, I like to see the ending... Keep the faith, brother!

"Never argue with stupid people... They bring you down to they're level and beat you with experience"
Wow.
You've certainly had a lot on your plate all at once. If anything, being diagnosed with multiple illnesses I think puts us in a severe reality check. I find myself striving to be more competitive and to achieve more of my goals. I start to think "If I can do it with a disadvantage, I've achieved MORE!"
I'm glad to hear your wife is doing better!
