1 large bump for 24 hours on 1 injection site

Post by Nenu »

For some reason, other than the typical injection site reaction (burning for 20ish min), I don't have side effects using Copaxone, except on my right thigh.

I've done 2 injections on this thigh, and each time the area injected remains a huge bump (that's kind of tough) for up to 24 hours after the injection.

This only occurs on this 1 site.

Anyone else experience this as well?

Yes. I don't inject into the front of either thigh, nor into my upper arms. Else I get big bumps, like mega-wasp-stings.

Fortunately there is plenty more of me to inject into, especially fat bits!

Thighs are my nemesis. They seem so fat to me yet they don't have enough fleshiness for the shot. i go shallow, yet i can have swollen ITCHY sites for up to 3 days. I found the reaction to be way less when I reserve my thighs for days I know I won't be doing alot of walking. I think the fabric rub intensifies the rx.
back of my arms can get a bit reactive as well, but all in all I gladly take these rxs. rather than the interferons.

Well, I learned my trick that helps.

Pressing with the cotton ball for 30 seconds after injection. No more gigantic bump afterwards!
