Dr. Mcdonald speech-Parliament Hearing
Does anyone have a transcript of what Dr. Mcdonald stated at a Parliament Hill Hearing today?

Here's a link to Dr. McDonald's emphatic presentation at the Parliamentary session yesterday ... Dr. McDonald has diagnosed CCSVI, he is a vascular surgeon and is not allowed to treat. He is frustrated, and wants to help. He calls the situation "kafka-esque." I agree. Thanks to Dr. McDonald-
full presentation includes many testimonies...worth listening to the whole thing-

Home Sweet Home
I love Dr. Macdonald's analogy of a plumber (vascular doc) having to get the electrician's (neurologist) permission to fix a broken pipe that is ruining someone's house. Brilliant.

...sigh... Dr. Murray, i'm sorry, your 40 years .. a sad dinosaur in the cloak of a historian.. hints of snake oil remedies as comparisons.. drugs drugs drugs.. quoting partial truths..asking why upcoming drug releases are not elevated in the media equally.. and for me, the absolute kicker, "if all patients are treated we will have no studies".. I am going to pray for this man tonght.
Dr Ludwin, "ccsvi is a 'novel' idea.." pat pat pat, touting his credentials, also stood out as someone grasping on to his career.. to this i can offer empathy but please, walk with or step aside.
and on and on.. why do those opposed feel that embracing this treatment will some how negate their lives work?
The passion in Dr McDonald's voice filled my heart with hope and washed the rest away.
..as Janet said.. we can't watch someone drown while we test a lifejacket.. ( my next t-shirt:)
Life is good .. life is filled with people.. therefore..

Dr. Jock
Who wouldathunk that our biggest roadblocks would have come from the Society that advocates for us. Who invited Jock?
Good Samaritan
I can't help but think of the story of the Good Samaritan. Like the Priest and the Levite, the neurologist's testimony was filled with their own small-minded logic on why not to help the MS patient lying in the ditch, but like the Samaritan, Dr. Macdonald's compassionate action has put them all to shame.
I hope that the MP's can see through the smoke and mirrors.

This is brutal to listen to.
Your have people absolutley spilling their guts, in a brilliant, well spoken
compassionate way about something very near, dear, and painful to
them.
Doctor MacDonald does a fabulous job, keeps an easy well informed tack
and obviously cares about his patients..
The other doctors here spend most of their time spouting credentials, I hope they keep them in mind for their job search which is coming up.
