recovery time in CCSVI operation?

Post by frijkaard »

I plan to have the procedure done. Any idea of the recovery time involved?

Recovery time

Post by val57gal »

If you don't have stents, it should be really easy. With angioplasty, I had to lie flat the rest of the day and avoid lifting weights for a couple of days. Other than that, I was just pretty sleepy that day and the next. The entry point didn't hurt and I felt fine.

I've heard that the stents are painful and add to the recovery time.

Without stents, allow for a couple of days. The first day is pretty ordinary, but by the third, you will feel more normal, with, hopefully, some improvements. I dont know about the length of time for recovery following stenting.
