I was quoted $8,000.00 at his clinic which includes the cost of venogram/angioplasty/stents plus $250.00 for the consultation on the first day. I don`t know what the costs are if the surgery is done in a hospital. I have already had the MRV and Doppler ultrasound done and I was told to forward these to Dr. Arata first to review which I did. His office than called to say he wanted to see me and we set up the two dates. We are staying in Anaheim which is between Costa Mesa(where the consultation is) and Downey (which is where the surgery is done. Dr. Siskin`s cost is $5,000.00 plus each stent used. I don`t know if that cost includes MRV and DU. Could be plus....

Surgery with Dr.Arata in California

Post by lovebug »

Well I had the CCSVI surgery with Dr.Arata. I can`t say enough about the dedication that this doctor shows towards his understanding of CCSVI and his attemps to help MS patients with vein problems. His staff was excellent! I feel that if you have made an appointment with Dr.Arata you will be in good hands...............

I was just made aware of the California clinic today. I live near Vancouver, Canada and would definitely consider it as an option due to it's closer proximity that many other places. I'm hoping that more people who have been treated there will jump in to share their experience :)

Approximately how many treatments has he performed now? What is his success rate? Has anyone had tremendous or moderate results?
I am glad to hear of someone adoptintg the Dr. Sinan techniques. I would consider going to CA for a 2nd treatment.

For all those with questions--
Do a search of TIMS on Arata or on val57gal, katie41, music, lovebug--we've all reported our results on this or other threads.

Or check the website http://www.pacificinterventional.com/cc ... uling.html.

I would contact them to make sure they've got you on the list, just confirm it by email or phone. Otherwise with other docs, it's been my experience that if you call during the big rush (as soon as their name was made public), it can take a long time before getting scheduled. Do you remember the exact date you called, you could ask around here to see if others who called around then ahve been scheduled. And welcome to the forum. :)

I'm waiting for a date too, so it must be a bottleneck (or maybe I should call it an occlusion). She did say that they were looking at December dates. That's pretty good if that's still true. I called Albany too and was told they are booking for "2011". I guess we'll have to learn to be patient patients.

Thanks to you all for advice and the word play.
Have left 3phone messages and sent 2 emails today and will do the same tomorrow.
This "kink" in communication will not deter me.
Thanks again y'all.........

I've repeatedly called and each time they tell me they'll call me back on X day with my appointments and they never do.

It's getting really ridiculous. :(
