one group to blame is the patients themselves. Animal models might not work unless the animal is upright. The only data out there is the 2 or 3 thousand people who have had the operation. Did it work? Do we have good collections of the results?
That is the overwhelming data.
Canadian experts & MS Society dismiss CCSVI therapy
hmm..based on this logic and given that CCSVI is a unique condition recognised by the International uni0n of Phlebology (IUP) http://csvi-ms.net/en/content/consensus ... y-iup-2009 .. from this day forward no clinical trials should proceed without proof that the condition in question is linked to MS?? ...just sayin'Aglukkaq said if the studies show a clear link between Dr. Zamboni's theory and MS, then pan-Canadian trials involving the surgical procedure will be started quickly.

Who the hell cares what other disease or non-disease it is linked to, CCSVI is bad enough by its own self, and should be treated based upon the merit of the argument that humans have internal jugular veins and azygous veins for very good reasons. Blocks in major veins or valves in them are a major problem. But in this disposable world, well veins carry your body's recycling, and reuse is not important to some. Unless you are talking about creating a permanent market for drugs.PCakes wrote:hmm..based on this logic and given that CCSVI is a unique condition recognised by the International uni0n of Phlebology (IUP) http://csvi-ms.net/en/content/consensus ... y-iup-2009 .. from this day forward no clinical trials should proceed without proof that the condition in question is linked to MS?? ...just sayin'Aglukkaq said if the studies show a clear link between Dr. Zamboni's theory and MS, then pan-Canadian trials involving the surgical procedure will be started quickly.
Ms. Aglukkac is a spineless mindless political hack of the worst ilk.
Treat the disease, not the symptom. Especially when it is a fantasy used to support 'experts' and 'fund-raisers' and drug-peddlers.

extract re: iliac stenting..
In most series, venous stenting carries no risk of death, pulmonary embolism, or major bleeding. Acute iliac vein rethrombosis

Damn right. That's what we vote with. Except some have canes, walkers, wheelchairs, scooters. They know the way too.PCakes wrote: exactly!! ..apparently our feet are more important than our brains.

We need to turn this around. The medical and government "experts" and the MS Society insist there is no evidence angioplasty is an effective treatment for MS and question is there is even a link between MS and CCSVI.
If we accept that, there is no need for trials or further studies. Let our family docs refer us to vascular specialists to be treated for a vascular problem. Isn't that what we have saying all along?!?
If only it were that simple....
