Hi Michael--
Thanks for reminding us about Marie's new book.
You can trust that we'll keep Marie's book as a current thread around here, since she started her research and writing on this very forum! You can read all of her posts, as MRhodes on This Is MS.
Marie is speaking live tonight in Seattle--
here's a link to the live stream.
take care,
cheer

From Aaron:
NO advertising is allowed on the message boards, period. If you like a product, you can tell us about it. But if you gain financially from selling said product, your posts will be deleted and you will be banned from the site without warning. Thank you for your understanding of this simple rule.
give it a rest already.Lyon wrote:Yes, but it's CCSVI advertising so it's OK.scorpion wrote:concerned wrote:Once again, this seems like advertising to me.

I would hope that all realize Marie Rhodes is MRhodes from This Is MS, and that her contributions on this forum would allow her some respect. She is not on here, selling the book....it is someone else she does not know. I asked Michael to remove his posts, since advertising is not allowed on TIMS.
Michael removed his other post, but seems to have missed this one. Perhaps Jimmy or NHE will remove it soon.
In the meantime, the nastiness, mean-spiritedness and vitriol of certain posters on this thread continues to amaze me. If any of these men had written a book, you can be sure there would be much back slapping and atta-boys. Talk is cheap, and actions speak much louder than anonymous words.

If you could explain what is meant by "ccsvi advertising" that would be appreciated. I would think a memo to the admin would be a preferred way to deal with this, vs. an outright lambaste, but that's just me... Dogpile away, please, whatever gets you through the day.scorpion wrote:As much some of you have wanted the rules of the board enforced on this forum it confounds the imagination why suddenly they should not apply. No one said anything mean spirited. I in fact plan on reading Marie's book and hopefully discuss it afterwords in the reader's nook forum. There are not rules of the board for one group of people and not others.cheerleader wrote:I would hope that all realize Marie Rhodes is MRhodes from This Is MS, and that her contributions on this forum would allow her some respect. “The skeptic does not mean him who doubts, but him who investigates or researches, as opposed to him who asserts and thinks that he has found”
For me it's not about wanting rules to be enforced, it's about wanting us to play nice and respect each other's different opinions (including pro-CCSVI opinions, including anti- opinions) and remember that, differences aside, we've still got plans to have a beer someday together. I am sad that there are people who find the water here too hot and who choose not to take part in the community here because of it. So as much as we're all able to take a deep breath and a step back, it is a good thing.scorpion wrote:As much some of you have wanted the rules of the board enforced on this forum it confounds the imagination why suddenly they should not apply.
