dania,
this wreaks of negativity
i may be the eternal optimist
but...we have one life
i would hate for anyone to see this, and just give up...
i gave up watching it...
she's young and maybe she has time, others don't
i say , never give up

little improvements are better than none
the odds are out there, its improving every month
this will be my 3rd time in feb, this time i've chosen dr arata, and and and
a guinea pig i maybe, but, so far this is the best situation - hopeful

Esta, this is what can happen. You call it negative, I call it honest. And most people would prefer not to see it. And I do not think she has given up , not yet anyways. And it is not uncommon. You just do not see posting of this outcome very often. I hope your treatment with Arata helps you. There are many that have gone to him having first tried in another facility. He could unfortunately do nothing for me as all 3 veins are now blocked. Little improvements are better than none. But with zero blood flow in my 3 veins I am getting worse and worse. A man tried 10 times with Arata, he finally had a vein transplant at the Mayo and is doing well after 2 months.

Esta, are you asking which doctor I would choose? I think Arata is an excellent choice. Having said that I think you have a better chance of getting lasting improvements with the first time, that is what Arata told me and many who have had multiple procedures notice that they improved with the first and got little or no improvements with following procedures. I think most doctors recognize that valves play a part. And it seems that those that got treated and their valves were addressed with the first procedure do better than those of us that were treated earlier on and the valves were not addressed.

Did anyone catch the name of the vasodilating supplement she said was helping her?

Proargi-9 which is a name brand for L-arginine.

I've been taking it too.

In a year or two, if we can start seeing publications with follow-up data, we could find out what percentage of patients getting treated end up with the different possible outcomes. It's frustrating not having numbers yet.

Thanks, Jugular. I already take that too but haven't noticed any changes to my health from it at all.

i wonder about untouched veins, say the other side and the azygos, if further treated with them included, would there be a better outcomes?
yes dania, would you try with him again?
i've done my research, and choose him because of the valves thing. i'm thinking because the ljv and azygos have never been worked on, i may see fabulous lasting results...i chose to think this way...so wish me luck.

my greatest fear is complacency with ms people, and this hurdle can't make it to the gate unless we keep rallying, and not get caught in the webs of despair, i believe the jury's out, and the fat lady has sung, we will overcome, and, yes, there's always some it doesn't work for. but in the long run we've got to believe this is better than anything so far, considering the casualties of the crab drugs.

Esta, in my case angioplasty is no longer a possibility. My veins are 100% blocked with scarring. Unless they come up with something that can remove the scarring and then as Arata said to me and then what? What is going to keep the vein open an not collapsing. That is what Arata told me. At this point my only option is a vein transplant.
I sincerely hope you do well. And seeing as you have 2 veins that have never been touched you will most likely see improvements.

I would suspect that my collateral blood flow is not good. Not good enough for sure. My face, tongue are very swollen. A cardiologist once told me that if blood flow is restricted these are the symptoms.

Wow did Catherina really hit the nail on the head. I and several others DO NOT comment on posts by MSers and she said why. I feel no different and I think everyone should take a deep look inside themselves
