I sent an email to Kirsty Duncan, MP last week to ask for her opinion about the TAMSI study that is being conducted here in Alberta. I wanted to know what her opinion about that study is. My own gut feeling is that if it is being conducted by people who are trying to stonewall CCSVI treatment, then all they are doing is gathering information on who exactly has had the procedure done.... I guess, I'm just not convinced that this study is there to benefit those with MS or CCSVI.....?!? Maybe, I'm jaded....?? Although I have had a good result and I am happy to share this information, I absolutely don't want to be a party to anything that is going to hamper further development for others still waiting for treatment here in Canada....

As I hit the send button, my thought was that maybe in a few weeks I will hear back from somebody in her office. BOY, WAS I EVER WRONG !! Imagine my surprise when my phone rang some 10 minutes after my email went out - and the person on the other end was Dr. Kirsty Duncan, MP herself! I was almost speechless, although my husband was quick to point out, that is rare indeed. I certainly was tongue-tied, though! It was an absolute pleasure speaking to this woman, who is so passionate about our cause. She asked my story and I could hear the emotion in her voice when I heard her reply and when she relayed some other terrific results stories to me. Honestly, I never expected to hear from her directly and I was so overwhelmed by her AND her passion!

Just wanted to share this with y'all....

That must have been some phone call! Kirsty Duncan has been such a champion from the beginning.
