Private health coverage for ampyra in Australia?

Ampyra is a potassium channel blocker that is shown to improve visual function, motor skills and relieve fatigue in MS patients.

Private health coverage for ampyra in Australia?

Post by twintwin »

I have been taking ampyra (called fampyra in Australia) since it has been available in this country in October 2011. It is costly and I have been trying to get my health fund (HCF) to recognise this medication so I can make a claim and get some reimbursement for the cost. HCF still has not given me any answer.

Has anyone else been trying to get some reimbursement for fampyra from their health fund? Any luck?
