It appears to me that they have "published" their results on the corporate website as used to promote the upcoming commercial product, and not within a respected peer reviewed journal. I also note the following quote "Commenting on the full study results, Prof. Bruce Cree, UCSF, USA, principal investigator in the upcoming US study with MD1003". Its all a little too inbred/advertising for my liking.

Hello folks.
Je me marre!

Thanks, Tom
Let's hope the next and much larger clinical trial
will confirm these results and allow FDA to approve
MD1003.
Let's hope the price won't be too high.

Thks tzootsi,

Interesting...it looks like it's more effective for non active progressive MS
Hopefully this treatment will be soon available for all.

Realize that biotin is readily available, there are thousands of people around the world currently taking 300 mg of biotin a day for PPMS. The facebook page is 'Biotin for progressive MS' .

I'm talking about the Cerenday.
Normally, it should be the most effective biotin.

There are seven or so different chiral forms of Biotin with different physiological effects. I have yet to see any details from Cerenday as to which form they are using and have thus tested, and hence the Biotin as used by all of us (including me) outside of the trials, may simply be wrong and totally ineffective.

And thanks to MsTranslate for getting at least that one cleared up. Its D-Biotin, as we have all assumed.

Hi Cure,

According to Frédéric Sedel, it's not any type of D-Biotin.

He says (17'00 from the video):"the difference (with other forms of D-Biotin) is that it's an extra pure pharmaceutical grade biotin - it's what we call GFP Biotin"

Hi Zen,
I think he said GMP biotin. GMP meaning Good Manufacturing Practices which is a common standard used in the supplement industry. Anyways, do to the low sound quality, much of what Frédéric Sedel said was difficult to understand.

I think NHE explained it (ie GMP). My understanding was simply him differentiating between the quality medical product (of which he has a personal financial interest in) and the cheaper bulk powder suppliers people are buying from over the internet; which could potentially contain poisonous impurities. I have been thinking of getting a price from a certified local chem lab to check the biotin I have been supplied. I'm not on facebook, have any groups thought of combining their resources (ie money) to have a supplier checked?

D-Biotin is a very specific form of a specific chemical. D-Biotin IS D-Biotin. However, its whether we can be assured we are getting D-Biotin from the online bulk powder suppliers, and if the impurities are inert or non-toxic.
