low PTH level

Post by mspatient1980 »

what can you suggest for a person who has very low parathormone level initially? level of vitamin D is 30 ng/ml, and PTH level is 12 pg/ml, lower then normal interval? is it possible to take vitamin D?

That is odd 1980.... First, I think it is a must for you to involve a qualified physician in your decisions. Have you been taking any D before you were tested for PTH? Do you get a lot of sun exposure?

All you can do is start low and titrate up in dose, being tested every 2 months for PTH levels. This could be a great sign for you as everyone needs a different dose and perhaps your is quite low. Again be sure to involve your Dr. I also think LDN is something to consider as well.

Your level of vitamin D is very low...

It's strange that your PTH is also so low.

What is the PTH range that your laboratory use? 12-60pg/ml?

Then you need to talk with a certified doctor.

There is a list here: http://www.thisisms.com/forum/coimbra-h ... ml#p238410

Only a certified doctor can certainly know what you need to do.

Do you know what your calcium levels are at, serum calcium and ionized?

I agree with the rest of the comments to get in contact with a Coimbra protocol dr.
Mother was on Rituximab and prednisone for Microscopic Polyangiitis which attacked the kidneys and lungs.
Drs denied her dialysis and appropriate treatment for her MPA and forced her into hospice.
She is in heaven and free from pain.
