For researchers: Red flags in diagnosis

Post by frodo »

Some reports point to a 10% misdiagnosis, specially due to the appearance of lesions in MRI. It seems that non-demyelinating lesions are normal and increase with ageing and misdiagnosis could be avoided using some "red flags", or rules to discriminate real MS lesions.
