what is an HLA DRB3 positive patient?

Regarding my last post about an antigen found, it only appears in a group of patients that they call DRB3 positive. I have taken a look at what means that.

HLA means Human Leukocyte Antigen. It is a kind of grouping for people in such a way that they are compatible for transplants. This is why sometimes they speak about HLA-histocompatibility. Several groups of HLA patients have been proposed for Multiple Sclerosis:

There were reports about HLA influence in MS since 25 years ago (https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/a ... 9707605862). The HLA-DRB3 group is the one that shows the kind of multiple sclerosis that researchers describe as autoimmunity against GLP L Fucase.

There is a wiki project called wikigenes, and they had already reported that HLA-DRB3 * 0202 was seen in all children with multiple sclerosis
