B Cell Dysfunction Associated With Aging and Autoimmune Diseases (2019)
fft: https://www.frontiersin.org/articles/10 ... 00318/full
"... The discovery of a subset of B cells, termed age-associated B cells (ABCs), has drawn significant attention in recent years. Initially isolated from aged donors and found to be closely associated with immune senescence, these cells were expected to provide a novel therapeutic avenue for autoimmune diseases. With due consideration to various aspects of their potential, we review previous findings and provide an insight into the properties, functions, and related signaling pathways, which may assist in developing a better understanding of this subset of B cells (Table 1)."

Chronic intake of high fish oil diet induces myeloid-derived suppressor cells to promote tumor growth (2014)
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4246012/
had to unpack that one. "Fish oil diet contains 40 mg EPA and 26 mg DHA per gram diet (vs. 0 in High Fat Western Diet) (Table 1)."
so unless my math is right out to lunch, the takeaway looks like: be careful not to accidentally take over 120 capsules of fish oil on a daily basis over the long term (or if you have capsules like the ones i use, over 60...).

had to unpack that one. "Fish oil diet contains 40 mg EPA and 26 mg DHA per gram diet (vs. 0 in High Fat Western Diet) (Table 1)."
- so for a 1600 calorie diet, using all eggs, that would be about 10 eggs for 560 grams of food.
- so 560 grams x 66 mg/gram = 36960 mg. or 36.9 gm fish oil per day
so unless my math is right out to lunch, the takeaway looks like: be careful not to accidentally take over 120 capsules of fish oil on a daily basis over the long term (or if you have capsules like the ones i use, over 60...).

Re: B Cell Dysfunction, Aging, Autoimmune Diseases
Too much of a good thing can be problematic.
Too much water can dilute your electrolytes and kill you.

Too much green tea can inhibit folate leading to a B12 deficiency causing irreversible disability from spinal cord demyelination known as subacute combined degeneration.

Moreover it's high caffeine content will lower uric acid level that is beneficial as peroxynitrite scavengerNHE wrote: ↑Sun May 16, 2021 3:08 am Too much green tea can inhibit folate leading to a B12 deficiency causing irreversible disability from spinal cord demyelination known as subacute combined degeneration.

haven't gotten through this one yet, or even figured out if i can get full text. interesting looking objectives, though.
Thymosin-α1 expands deficient IL-10-producing regulatory B cell subsets in relapsing–remitting multiple sclerosis patients (2017)
https://journals.sagepub.com/doi/abs/10 ... 8517695892
Objectives:
Moving from our data showing a Toll-like receptor (TLR)7-driven dysregulation of B cell response in relapsing–remitting multiple sclerosis (RRMS) and having found a low serum level of Thymosin-α1 (Tα1) in patients, we investigated whether the addition of this molecule to peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) would influence the expansion of regulatory B cell subsets, known to dampen autoimmune inflammation.
