Turmeric (Curcumin) and MS

Post by kaebean »

The naturopathic doctor at my clinic is always suggesting that MS patients try to add more turmeric into their diet to help with inflammation. I did some more research and found a study done at Vanderbilt University's Neurology Department did on the subject. I wrote it up here, if anyone is interested: http://bumpymsadventures.blogspot.com/2 ... meric.html

Here is also a healthy grilled chicken recipe using turmeric: http://bumpymsadventures.blogspot.com/2 ... icken.html

Hope this is helpful to somebody and Happy New Year!

There seems to be lots written about turmeric that's for sure. I've using the powdered stuff from the grocery store - about 1/2 a
tablespoon in a glass, add a splash of olive oil, mix it up and scarf it down. Then I wash that down with one of my mega fruit smoothies.
A good way to start the day!

Dunno if it does any good. It doesn't seem to hurt.
I run a fun little forum site – www.CanadiansTalk.net – check it out. You don't have to be
a Canuck. :)

I take 1500 mg of Curcumin supplements daily. It has had a profound effect on my spasticity.
