Nice pasta alternitive

Post by tzootsi »

I know folks are always looking for an alternitive to wheat pasta in their diet. For years we have been using rice & corn pastas, which are good, but we have come across something even healthier: spirilized zuccini (summer squash). You can buy a very cool gadget called a spiralizer that will turn zuccini and summer squash into longs strands of pasta like material. Just use it raw or briefly boiled, put some tomato sauce or whatever over it, and you've got a very delicious pasta like dinner with very low carbs and plenty of vitamins. We bought a Brieftons Tri-Blade Spiralizer from Amazon for about $25, and it works great.

Thanks for the tip! Bought some zucchini and made a sauce tonight. Will be enjoying 'spaghetti' tomorrow night!
