Hi. My name is Victoria (36 yrs old) and I'm new to this site. I was diagnosed in 2011 and my problems with being fatigued have increased over the years.I ran several 5ks in the past but now Im too tired and I get overheated very easily. I want to start running again. How do I deal with the fatigue? It usually take a full day to recoup. Any suggestions? Thanks so much!

Hi,
This is what I do and I do not have any problem with fatigue. It takes a little while to kick in and , unfortunately, you need to buy good brands so you pay a bit more.
Years ago, I did have fatigue but got out of it. Things that cause inflammation will also work against you.

Welcome to ThisIsMS, Victoria (Vigsites).
In view of the following article, I suggest that you call your GP and request the vitamin D blood test called "25-hydroxy D." Ask for your own copy of the test results so that you have the actual numbers. A discussion of the results with your GP could lead to a plan of action that would improve your fatigue.
Effect of vitamin D3 on self-perceived fatigue (2016)
Albina Nowak, MD, Lucas Boesch, M.D., et al.

Conclusion: Vitamin D treatment significantly improved fatigue in otherwise healthy persons with vitamin D deficiency.
The California-based group GrassrootsHealth (
http://www.GrassrootsHealth.org) recommends that the vitamin D level should be at least 40-60 ng/mL. Many neurologists recommend a level of 70-100 ng/mL for their patients with neurological symptoms.

Hi, since you are quite active, you may appreciate this therapy:
EWOT (pronounced e-watt)
....is Exercise With Oxygen Training. It is breathing higher levels of oxygen during exercise. You can use an exercise bike, treadmill, elliptical or whatever you're comfortable with.
Just do a search on the web!
