interestingly, it seems that some of the TGA/vascular papers on PubMed are written by neuros (and are 5-10 years old...long before the CCSVI furore).

I have no idea if this has any bearing but...
- I sometimes have fairly severe amnesia. A few years ago my family drove from Florida to Virginia to visit relatives at Christmas for a week. Two months later we were sitting around talking and the trip came up. I had no idea what they were talking about. They had to recount the entire trip to me in detail. I still don't remember it to this day.
My husband is constantly saying, "Don't you remember me telling you that?" about one thing or another, and I honestly don't, yet I can code complex HTML by hand without a cheat sheet so I guess it's selective memory??
- The paper speaks of liver involvement to some degree but mostly "portal vein hypertension" which can be caused by cirrhosis or hepatitis, neither of which remotely apply to me. A recent abdominal x-ray and CT due to abdomen pain both showed no problems other than an enlarged liver. Don't mean to jump to conclusions, might be totally unrelated, it's just interesting.
- My MRV showed "Congenitally hypoplastic left transverse sinus, and jugular bulb." More details and image here:

your MRV is very interesting to me. I have the same venous pattern as you (I also have an underformed azygos...but it is the jugular deformation which is interesting to people who suffer transient amnesia).
Happypoet - I did see that TGA is defined for people who have amnesia episodes which last < 24 hrs. However, my episodes of short-term memory problems are also transient. They last for 3 days in my case. So not stricly TGA...but similar.
