Hi ven,

I feel wretched, but thanks.

I would wait until after your scans to have a fresh tattoo. Some of the inks may have iron oxide in them, which can be affected by MRI. They can heat up in the machine, is my understanding. Sizzle. Ouch.

I looked it up.
Dyes used in tattoos may contain iron and could heat up during MRI, but this is rarely a problem. link
My name is not really Johnson. MSed up since 1993

Hey Ven, give it some time friend. Hopefuly you ll be able to forget all about those big magnets in a couple of years time (when you are sure that your MS has been halted) and then you might as well become a Yakuza member ;)

Hi Ven,

like Johnson says wait till after the scan,
there is a good possibility they won't give you the MRI,
not worth taking the risk of that :D

good luck
You might find that you’re not lost

im covered in tattoos... not to be a jerk, but look at it like this... get a tattoo or continue to have ms. doesnt even seem like a real question to me... wait, get your plumbing fixed first.
