Getting the shaft

Post by scorpion »

Do you guys ever feel that you are getting the shaft? Something tells me that in like 30-50 years stem cells are going to take care of most diseases/conditions humans presently suffer from. Sometimes I feel a generation or two behind the eight ball.

I hope they do end up taking care of most disease. Would be better if it happened within the next 5 years though

From the current track record the medical world has in dealing with conditions like MS, HIV and Parkinsons, I won't be holding my breath.

Research takes time and new theories take even longer to be accepted by this medical community that we have. The chances of stem cells working out in the next 20/30 years...well, let's wait and see hey:-)

True, but on the flip side think about all the research that has been done in the last few decades. If we were in the 19th century we'd probably be dead by now. :)
