Short Survey for School Project
Hello everyone, my name is Corey.
In my introductory human biology class we were asked to research a specific disorder as a group project, and as you might guess my group chose to study Multiple Sclerosis.
I was hoping everyone here might be able to help me out by answering a quick survey. It’s only 5 short questions that require just a quick response, however you can elaborate more if you wish. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
You can reply on the forum if you like, or if you’d feel more comfortable you may email me at bigcdubb13@gmail.com
The Survey:
1. Were you aware of MS prior to your diagnosis?
2. Do any members of your immediate family suffer from MS as well?
3. Were you diagnosed with RRMS, SPMS, PPMS, or PRMS?
4. Are you a part of any support groups outside of this forum?
5. Have you found religious faith to be helpful in coping with your condition?
Thanks again for all your help!

1. No, I did not know what it was.
2. No
3. RRMS
4. No, I find other sites to be juvenile and none engage in the thought provoking topics that are discussed here. This forum is definitely for thinkers and a place to vent intelligent questions and concerns. Other sites do not engage in that level of provocative dialogue.
5. Tough question - I have wrestled with this. I hope God is there but I wonder if he/she hears me.

2. I have a 1st cousin with MS.
3. My neuro calls me RRMS so she can offer me drugs for it, but I'm sure I'm Secondary Progressive after all these years (37 yrs). The categories are only a guess anyway, so patients often get different opinions from one doc to the next. And they often get dx'd, un-dx'd, dx'd again as they change doctors as well.
4. No
5. No - I'm not the slightest bit "religious."

Dx'd with MS & HNPP (hereditary peripheral neuropathy) 7/03 but must have had MS for 30 yrs before that. I've never taken meds for MS except 1 yr experiment on LDN. (I found diet, exercise, sleep, humor, music help me the most.)
