Had aneducational fight with my gp wife on this.Turns out stenosis can be caused by immune cells and the clenching response they use to close up wounds. So the ms causes ccsvi idea might have merit.

hm..way over my head.. i did not know that immune cells had a role in healing..i thought they were on the 'cleanup crew'.

anything is possible.. but the opposite still makes way more sense to me.

...was that your wife's GP or your GP's wife ? ;)

Anytime you have had a cold or the flu you have met your immune system, which saved you. The way you feel from the time you are starting to heal, until you are 'all better' is due to it. What else is healing when damage is from without? Clean-up is only necessary when you have recognized and disassembled the intruder. All that takes time, and different kinds of cells. Now my errant cells are misrecognizing my veins? What antibodies happen then?

i think you got it right Cece.. wow.. CCSVI and your spouse is a GP.. oooh..i would love the 'round tables'..

1eye.. good 'xplain..thanks..
i understand our immune system in a basic sense but did you know that immune cells were part of closing wounds?

What i meant by 'clean up' was they come out in force to rid our bodies of what they deem to be alien intruders.

The problem with restenosis as a proof of causality is that
We don't know which happens first. Say the first event is an ms attack which washes a lot of scar tissue down the pipes causing restenosis.we need time stamped ages that prove it's the veins that close first.

oo I was over in alberta for a wedding a few weeks back. Their carbon footprint is like 80 tons per person, the most toxic jurisdiction in North america as far as I know. The place makes george bush look like a lefty. No wonder they spew so much bile on ccsvi...

I won a discussion with my wife. I said "If there are cells washing down from the brain why would they stop at the jugulars? Why not the heart? I see no evidence that ms patients have heart issues..?"

she smiled and said 'good question'.

I think the key words there are "may use" and "should be". These are weasel words. In the Internet Engineering Task Force's series of thousands of documents called RFCs for Requests For Comments, there are explanations and the mandate that all these documents capitalize to disambiguate the words MAY, MUST, SHALL and SHOULD. The only ones that are important are MUST and SHALL, MAY and SHOULD only define good or recommended practice. If anybody fails too do a thing, and there is no law saying MUST or SHALL, or they do a thing and there is a no law saying MUST NOT or SHALL NOT, well I guess they are OK. This is a good guideline, and obviously one Ontario does not care for.

Incidentally they are a Liberal government, and the Federal Liberals have a few hard advocates for the Liberation procedure in Dr. Kirsty Duncan, the Liberal health critic Dr. Carol Hughes, and M.P. Peter Julian from B.C.

The Liberal Leader, though wishy-washy on most things, I believe supports us. Why the Provincial Liberal party is so different can only be because of interest groups and lobbyists. I don't think they have quite the constraints on their behaviour that Federal Liberals do.

But they are all politicians, and I think if the email, letter, and word-of-mouth campaign that saved Barb Farrel were done again, to save the hundreds at death's door in Canada (not the thousands in the US, one step at a time), it might succeed.

BTW I have plenty of heart issues. I'm hearing it called co-mobidity. I say it sucks.
