X-Cell Center

Post by Ned »

Has anyone had stem cell treatment at this centre?

Does anyone know how this treatment works when you don't have to have chemotherapy?

Hi Nancy,

You're right. I previously looked into X-Cell in Germany and found that they perform stem cell "infusions" or intrathecal injections into the spinal collumn. But with no chemotherapy there is no cure because it does nothing to correct the defective autoreactivity of one's own existing immune cells. X-Cell looks like a well run company, but the treatment-as-a-cure is a sham (just as all similar facilities around the world are) with absolutely no verifiable clinical benefit.

However, hematopoietic stem cell transplantation together with bone marrow ablation (chemotherapy) has been clinically demonstrated to be effective as an MS treatment (and is just now finishing phase II clinical trials here in the US). I had this procedure performed one year ago and it completely stopped my MS disease (absolutely no further disease progression). And in fact I have been experiencing continual slow reversal (improvement) of all of my pre-existing residual symptoms.

You can check out the scientific reference info here. . . . .

Funny my wife and I were having a stem cell discussion on the way back home this evening and she made the statement that although scientists are sure stem cells CAN cure many diseases, the problem is they still are trying to figure out how to make them do it!! After one year,as with ANY treatment, it is hard to tell whether it is the natural disease course of your MS or if the treatment is truly causing the improvements in your symptoms.

Before I had my stem cell procedure I did extensive research, and the X-Cell center was one of my top 3 facilities, specifically because of their low price. However, I found a lot of negative opinions on the doctor who heads the clinic. There were reports that he had a few operations shut down by the government. Also, a few people on patientslikeme.com had worsening symptoms after returning from X-Cell.

You can find a lot of information on patientslikeme.com and also the Stem Cell forum on MSWorld.org. http://www.msworld.org/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=79
