Parasite eggs swallowed today

Post by Egggirl »

A parasite walks into a bar. The bartender says “we don’t serve your kind in here.” The parasite says “well you’re not a very good host.”

Sorry I have to have some humor with all of this.

So today was my first treatment for the helminth clinical trial at the UW of Madison.

I was very nervous on the way there. I was extremely nervous when I got there. But today the appointment took only ten minutes. Much better than being there for an MRI.

So they bust out this little bottle. Time to drink. I put it to my mouth. NO go. Put it to my mouth again. NO go. I repeat this about five times until I finally swig back my liquid egg mix.

My imagination was much worse than the actual taste. It really did not have a taste. Slightly salty I would say.

Other than that there is really nothing to report except the fact that I was hungry and I was told not to have any hot or spicy food for a couple of hours. Oh, and no alcohol for the afternoon. I guess they don't want your eggs to get drunk an lose there way!!

Thanks Egggirl. Please keep us updated. I start in February with a combined dose of Hook and Whipworm. Will be interested to hear about your progress.

Good luck :)

Thanks for that post Lyon

I always point doubters to the proven fact that if you stick someone in an artifically low radiation environment their immune systems start misbehaving. Clearly the immune system has developed with a range dose of radiation to deal with. Remove this and the immune system misfunctions.

I now believe it is exactly the same situation with parasitic worms which have infected multicellular organisms for something like 750 million years

I am pretty sure Lyon is going to start taking these for fun if he hasn't already.

2nd treatment today

Post by Egggirl »

It has been two weeks already since my first treatment with TSO. I have had no problems to this point. I did have 1 day with 1 episode where I had to get to the bathroom rather quickly. Was this associated with my treatment? Who knows. It was not persistent and really was just one episode so it could have been something I ate.

I am allowed to bring every other treatment home to reduce my trips to the hospital, as long as I don't have to have a blood test or MRI. Based on the weather here today I was thankful not to have to make the trek to Madison.

I just took it about 10 minutes ago. So nothing much to report at this juncture.

Thanks for all the interest and support. To all of you choosing to try this type of treatment I wish luck and great success!!!

Egggirl, please keep us posted, this is fascinating and I have an open mind too, there is enough theoretical and scientific evidence to support this as an area of inquiry in inflammatory diseases.
