Biogen Idec search for biomarkers in relapsing remitting MS

Protagen AG, a specialist in in-vitro diagnostics and GMP-compliant protein analysis announced today that they will be using the UNIarray® Platform to help discover biomarkers in relapsing remitting multiple sclerosis for Biogen Idec, Inc.

MSers are
prediabetic or diabetic
suseptable to bacterial infection
low in uric acid
high in folic acid
low in b12
have ccsvi
high in intesinal flora
have epv or herpes

other biomarkers were mentioned in other postings:
high triglycerine
ATP and ET-1
the balance Collagen III/I that would possibly suggest an increasing resistance to accept glucose.
etc

there is a worldwide search going on.
a key question seems to be what was there first, the MS or the prediabetic condition.

where have we seen this question before?

That same question can be applied to the inflammation around the brain lesions of MS patients. Our esteemed world of MS medicine has insisted that a person's immune system causes the problem but in recent years some researchers have said it's the immune system reacting to inflammation caused from another source.

Perhaps this is yet another explanation as to why after 70 years of researcher there is still no known and proven cause of MS.

I compare the picture that emerges here a bit with a cookie factory producing nice cakes with a chocolate topping. The production belt fails somewhere in the cascade of steps. At the end of the belt, the alarm bell starts ringing. And what does the operator do? He throws his jacket over the alarm bell and rests back in his chair. And the chain just rumbles on ..

Has anyone had high CRP levels with their MS? Just wondering as I had high CRP levels for years
