the last week has really roughed me up. Sixteen hour days, driving patients to hotels, crazy challenges redoing treatments done in other countries and states.Cece wrote:*bump*drsclafani wrote:I will be discussing one on this wee'ks case of the week which should be posted tomorrow.

And this is why we love you. I can't imagine any other doctor doing what you do for us. Please rest up and take care of yourself. Keep eating your aspirin.drsclafani wrote:the last week has really roughed me up. You are amazing. I can easily imgine that many doctors would have simply just called a cab for such a patient.DrSclafani wrote:The day before was not quite as bad but required that i drive a poor man to his hotel. You see, he did not follow instructions and came from North Carolina alone without an escort. Policy at the center, and standard of care in most ambulatory procedure centers, requires that those who have procedures be escorted home. Well, that left two choices: send him back to North Carolina (out of the question) or be his escort back to his hotel. Yes, DrS enjoyed his new role as driver. Unfortunately, the patient chose a hotel that was out of the way and was not the usual five minute drive from the doctor's house to patient's hotel.
immediately after the procedure there were no changes at all.pklittle wrote:How does the woman feel post-procedure as far as relief from her symptoms?Any questions?
no. But i havent found it very commonly. This was the nicest example. When i find narrowings in the J2 segment, i am skeptical. My main goal is determining whether this is a fixed narrowing or whether it is dynamic. Most are dynamic.pklittle wrote:Another question: Have you just recently learned that changing positions/turning the head can impact flow?
actually, i mispoke. I did call a cab. However i cannot let a patient leave in the company of a stranger. So i joined the patient for the cab ride and then went home.NHE wrote:You are amazing. Amazing ..I hope there are many young physicians under your wings.drsclafani wrote:actually, i mispoke. I did call a cab. However i cannot let a patient leave in the company of a stranger. So i joined the patient for the cab ride and then went home.
i think it would be unprofessional to order a cab to take home a patient who has had strong narcotic medications
