Hello
Does anyone know if it's still the best practice to wait for 30 days to fly after angio? Does this apply to stents as well?
I am seeing Dr.Sclafani in 2 1/2 weeks and am looking to book my travel, I can fly or come back on a train as I'm in Canada. Everyone is busy with the symposium (hope everyone is taking notes to share with us back here) so I thought I would pose the question here.
He has said after 3 days it's alright to fly and it would be much quicker but I've got the option of train, plane, and automobile (not really the automobile) so I would prefer the more prudent choice.
Thanks for any information.
flying after angio or stents
I'm seeing Dr Sclafani next week. I'm supposed to wait 72 hours before flying. There has been a bit of speculation on another thread about the benefits of spending some time horizontal especially if the IJVs were treated to keep the blood flowing there---kind of the opposite of IBT.
We're going to drive and visit family in Pennsylvania before flying back.
