People with Azygos Stent done by Dr. Simka in PL PLEASE LOOK

Post by Roni73 »

Hi all,

I am in desperate need of some information:

For those of you who had your CCSVI procdure done in Katowice Poland and had an Azygos stent placed, did you get a stent identification card or a stent ID number with your discharge paperwork?

I was told by Dr. Simka's staff at the clinic that I have a Medtronic stent made from Nitinol and that there is no identification for it. I'm sorry but this didn't then, and still does not sit right with me, and after numerous attempts at trying to get the information here I sit, no ID for my stent. I now cannot have any kind of follow up MRV here in the US without this stent identification.

I would really appreciate anyone's input who had an Azygos stent put in.

Thank you in advance,

Hi,

I don't have a stent in the Azygous, but a stent in my left jug. I have all the info via the manufacturer (got a neptune stent) It's MRI/V 'proof'

I have a stent in my lef jugular. Brand name of my stent is Genesis. I had MRI of my head and C-spine in Slovakia. I just put into the paper location and I also told them but they just said OK and had no problems with that.

I had CT of my jugulars as well in Slovakia, again no problems.

Thank you for your replies, I apppreciate the information. I know that MRI can be safe up to a certain Tesla strength (ie. anything above 3 is usually not safe for stents) However, I cannot get the diagnostic MR I need without proper device identification, I have an email sent off to Dr. Simka, etc. Sent it off after I posted, hoping to hear back soon.

Thanks again for your information :)
