Ya. I know where it is. Not far from me, about 1 hour.

A step, an upright step, in the right direction. Good news Norm! Now go for 175 ft.NormB wrote:Hi everyone,
After taking Daflon 500 from Servier for a week I can report feeling subtle changes for the better. My stance when walking is straighter with minor increase in stamina.
Walking for me means less than 150 ft. My last CCSVI intervention (second) was last May with no great liberation feeling as opposed to the Oct 2010 where I felt instantly more vigourous walking especially on uneven surfaces.
Nevertheless Daflon gives me so far small improvements I hope gets better with time.
Just a small report amongst future ones.

I can say that my worries about my forearm were for naught. I benched 135 tonight, a record post venoplasty, and more easily than 115 was 10 days ago. I started 9 months ago at 95 after my surgery, so that's a big increase. Though that's me old warmup weight, it's been more than a decade since I've been able to do it. I abandoned free weights five years ago due to futility and picked them up again after being libered.
I increased the dosage an extra pill a day after reading the comparative study were they used a dosage of 4 a day a few days ago. I'm not sure if it adds anything. Maybe all the exercise I do makes a difference.
Liberation, Daflon 500mg and exercise FTW.
Hell yeah.

After all, I would crumble under the weight of such responsibility, and no one wants me to crumble, right?Robnl wrote:HappyPoet wrote:Thank you also for sharing your experience with Venoruton. Perhaps you might give Daflon a try to see if you feel any effects quickly like Jugular and Rosegirl felt. I'm still waiting for my Daflon to arrive. If it doesn't help, I'll try other supplements--it's my only choice left since I can't afford $10,000 for what would be my third procedure (Medicare has stopped paying for CCSVI procedures for MS patients). I must find another way to help stop/slow my IJVs from closing, and so far, Daflon is the only supplement shown to affect veins.
Hmmm, i'll wait for the experiences of HappyPoetIf there are positive effects, i'll try Daflon also...

I'm unsure about the differences between Daflon and Venoruton, get it? Venoruton doesn't help me, could be that my leg veins and valves are OK (quick doppler showed that blood flow is ok). My GP says that Daflon and venoruton are harmless so....
Ahh, we'll see....

Well this isn't really my business but may I ask if that was 135 pounds or 135 kilograms? If it was kilograms then remind me never to pick a fight with you.Jugular wrote: I benched 135 tonight,

Re: Daflon 500mg tracking thread
Either one is fantastic. I would be happy if I could lift my arms, and that is without weights!

Maybe we should request a separate canine fecal forum!
I am having good results (not on my above-the-heart veins -- I have a foot skin infection that's been there since July) with the supplement version. It is less expensive and you don't have to get it from overseas. I have had bad experiences with dubious on-line drug quality. I even made the mistake of paying one late, and have been fighting their spam ever since. So watch out. You can catch more than floor sweepings from a bad one.
Feet and leg spasms keep me up after I try valiantly to adopt a prostrate sleeping posture. End up by morning with "azepams". Baclofen won't touch it. Happens approximately every 10 seconds. I relate it to my heartbeat, and suspect it is thinned blood having a convection-driven reflux to my brain when I am lying down. Feel fine after I sleep, and sit up.

Re: Daflon 500mg tracking thread
Some supplements and food additives have been banned because they have toxic effects. One such I can't remember if it's pseudafed or the real thing, ephedrine, which is a stimulant that can effect the heart. I think some plants contain ephedrine (don't most proteins come from plants, animals or mad scientists?). I think pseudafed can be made into crystal meth, which is why it has been taken out of cold remedies, but don't quote me.

Re: Daflon 500mg tracking thread
I've tried Daflon for a few days (7 tablets in 4 days). I developed rash on my upper lip and my gait seems to have become a little worse. It may be a worsening that just coincided with my trial of Daflon, I cannot be sure if it is the cause. Nevertheless I stopped using Daflon and started Pycnogenol instead.
For more than a year my EDS score is 6. Scorewise I haven't got worse after using Daflon, but during the last week there has been a change for the worse that I can feel.
A little background : I have had two liberation procedures last year to no avail due to restenosis. My jugulars are extremely narrow and there are significant narrowings in the azygous vein. I wonder if Daflon presents a risk for some who have severe narrowings such as mine. But I had to try it to see how it works for me. I wish luck to anyone who tries. I think one of the reasons why thisisms is so valuable is it is full of courageous people who try different potential remedies and share their experiences. I'm so glad to be a part of this.

Thanks for sharing. You might want to try Daflon again, once your rash goes away and see if the rash reappears. If it does then you know for sure, Daflon was the culprit.samovar wrote:I've tried Daflon for a few days (7 tablets in 4 days). Re: Daflon 500mg tracking thread
Daflon could be both good and bad (good for the health of the capillaries and not letting leukocytes through, bad for total overall flow because of the vasoconstriction) so the more compromised the overall flow, the more you might feel a negative effect; but the leakier your capillaries are, the more you might feel a positive effect.samovar wrote:I've tried Daflon for a few days (7 tablets in 4 days). Re: Daflon 500mg tracking thread
thanks Dania and Cece for the insightful responses. it might be a good idea to try Daflon again to see if my complaints were related to Daflon. cheers, samovar

It may mean the valves get less inflamed because less white cells hang around them. Or not. They seem to be making it to my ankles, but I'm not all healed up yet.I wonder if anti-valvular remodeling means what you are suggesting. Yes, let's dig deeper.
The problem might be for some that congenital deformity is too great, and valves are the least of their problems. I don't know, and without a good image and somebody to help with interpretation, I wouldn't guess.

Re: Daflon 500mg tracking thread
Today was a week's worth of taking Daflon with subtle change for the better. But today I also forgotten my midday dose and by supper time I was back with the heavy legs. I wonder if anyone else had a similar happening. I'm almost inclined to up one dose like Jugular mentionned. Will try three tablets/day and threading carefully like Jugular as pioneers.
