Dr Heidi Grant - Upper Cervical Chiropractic Treatment

Post by donnamck94 »

I have done some research on the correction of cervical misalignments of the spine and have came across Dr. Heidi Grant, I am going to recommend my husband (ms sufferer) to go for a consultation. My concerns being that his neurologist has suggested in the past to stay away from things online, offering 'false hopes' and specified chiro. work. Just wondered if anyone has had any experience of upper cervical chiropractic work and did they find the results positive or a waste of time? Also has anyone been to Dr. Heidi Grant for treatment? I have also read research conducted by Erin Esler almost a decade ago, just wondered if any up-to-date research has been published?

Hey donnamck94

I’ve been to Dr Heidi 10/12 times following chats with Dr Flanagan Dr Heidi came recommended from a colleague of Dr Flanagan.

Read my posting and I’ll be happy to fill in any blanks.......

I still re visit Dr Heidi for correction so I guess you could say I am keeping well and am happy with my course of treatment and I can assure you I have not got worse and nor did I ever feel that I was worsening my MS as a result of going to Dr Heidi . I believe she helped me I do feel better after a correction I go when I feel the need now... by example if I feel foggy, slight vertigo , wobbly and a correction works for me.

I am RRMS DX 2009 CCSVI 2010 with no previous ms symptoms...... Im sure if NUCCA can do damage I’ve been 10/12 times.
I suggested to a friend with MS to go and she reports its the best she has felt visiting Dr Heidi....

Location a lovely little family cafe around the corner next to a pub near school of fashion fantastic food good value all the locals frequent it.
Street Parking outside also a car park , I go by train to Oxford circus walk 5 mins cut threw JLewis Dr Heidi other side of traffic lights.
Cafe - at the back of J Lewis go right and its the 2nd or 3rd right

Who do you need to convince?

Don’t be waiting around for the Neuro he's still looking for the answers for MS alsymers , Parkinson’s and he’s been at it for 60 years plus.....

Dr Heidi is not cheap little change out of 500 for the first lot of xrays and 65 for correction after that.

Where are you traveling from ?

I went to see Dr Grant for UCC treatment and I stopped the treatment after about 7 or 8 sessions. I felt that it wasnt giving any benefit and towards the end of the treatments my legs seemed to be heavier after the treatments (my main MS symptom is mobility - heavy legs). I also wasnt wholly convinced with the method of treatment, she basically stands close to you points at particular point on you and applies pressure to her arm while lightly touching you. However, what works for one may not work for another.

Interesting prices, not that high for the Harley Street area of London, I guess they are in gbp (Sterling). Do you get a copy of your x-rays to take away? do they include your neck and jaw?

Thanks,
MarkW

Mark,

I will be calling her receptionist so will ask these questions and reply to your post! My husband is considering getting treatment from her and I am quite impressed with her background, reputation etc.

Hi Mark,

Dr Grant does not normally give xrays away with her, but the receptionist said she probably would if you asked. The xray is of the whole of the skull and neck!!

I pm you mark

Dr Heidi did go an x-ray of that include my neck. I took a photo via phone of the images that way I had a copy of the xray.

1st appoinment she will do xrays then 2nd appoinment will be based on the results of the 1st x-rays. Then further appointments to carry out corrections £65 to re aline your head on your neck .......
