My twin sister (fraternal) has MS but has not been diagnosed yet. Her symptoms started about a year after mine did. My older half sister is also suspected of having MS, as been diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue, and has been investigated for lupus, fibromyalgia and a myriad of other autoimmune issues.
Obviously the "risk" for a half-sibling like my older sister should be very low (about half of 3-4%) so about 2% chance.
Despite symptoms even worse than mine, the MS specialist would not diagnose my twin sister, as there were only a few lesions on her MRI, all that could have been caused by concussions she reported.
Families often have the same diet and lifestyle and prone to the same health Problems. Families that have a balanced diet, consume few processed foods, sugars or junk foods are usually healthier. With vitamin c and supplements even better. Son, daughter, brother and I have few health if any health problems that I know of. My brother has asthma from working in sawmills most of his life. A little over two years ago my brother, the golfer was about give up both gulf and dancing because of breathing difficulties. I was finally able too get him to take vitamin C, despite, his wife’s, the retired postal clerk who does not approve anything not government sanctioned. In less than a week was playing better golf was dancing again. Two weeks later he sold his golf cart. He is only 79. He has curvature of the spine caused by a vitamin C shortage when a teen ager.
