Most badass thing you have done despite MS?
Re: Most badass thing you have done despite MS?
I continue to perform #26Acts of Kindness in memory of the Sandy Hook victims which is a tremendous honour. If I die tomorrow, I will die happy to have contributed good to this world on behalf of those very special souls.

My husband, who has MS, has always dreamed of section hiking the Appalacchian Trail. His diagnosis last summer has put a little push in the schedule, but he now has 2.5 states done. I joined him for 3 days last summer to finish Pennsylvania...and he and I will be hiking the NJ section next month, the starting point at Springers Mountain, GA will be our anniversary trip in June, and a buddy will be doing the 100 mile wilderness with him in August. I pray for my hubby's health as he works toward his dream!! He can do it!!

Wow Karme. What kind of special equipment and training do you need to complete a 100 mile wilderness hike? That sounds intense.

I went to fist city with someone half my age. Had not been in a fight in almost twenty years, and hope never to do so again. But they were the agressor and I was just defending myself and somehow along the way got credit for winning a fight. In hindsight, I just wish the person knew who they really got wipped by..........a middle aged balding guy with MS. Not bragging, just saying what happened. It did boost my ego for a little while though.
You guys are awesome with your bike treks and runs. I would love to climb a mountain, surf, or do something really badass one day!!!

Centenarian 100, the 100 Mile Wilderness is a section of the Appalacchian Trail in Maine. While most of the trail as access for supplies every 20 - 50 miles, this section does not. It is a 100 mile stretch with no civilization in sight! it is a mountainous section and is the last the section before the end of the trail at Mt. Kahtadin. My husband attempted it 2 years ago, but his hiking partner got injured and they had to hike out a logging road and hitchhike back to town. He has a better partner this time and I am sure they will conquer. (I am just praying the August heat is okay for him in Maine). Our anniversary is in July, but we are doing our Anniversary trip to Georgia in June just so he can try to avoid some of the summer heat.
