Need Advice...

Hello, I am Darth Insurrectus. I was diagnosed with MS in August, 2014 after I had a stroke ( I was stupid and smoking K2 ). Anyways here is my question:


How do I distinguish symptoms from the stroke against symptoms of MS? I have very little strength in my legs, I am easily unbalanced and I tend to walk slowly. Also, I have a hard time retrieving words when I speak and a hard time speaking ( slurring, forgetting words, etc,) I also have schizoaffective disorder, A.D.D and such ( d0n't get me started about steroids; made me psychotic!). So which is MS and which is the stroke? Thanks!!

well I just learned something new. until now, k2 was 1) a mountain and 2) my skis

unfortunately it may well be meaningless to try to separate stroke and ms. I wonder if the typical lesions seen in ms brains are just the result of mini strokes and many of us just don't happen to suffer one serious enough to get the label of a full blown stroke. not an expert, I don't know what the actual diff between a lesion from a mini stroke and a lesion from ms might be.. just thinking out loud.

I got my MS dx about a month before I had a very small stroke, and both neuros (MS & stroke specialists) were very clear about the two looking different on MRIs.

But trying to match sx to lesions/stroke sites is still pretty pointless. Either way, certain locations in the brain have been damaged and there's not much you can do about it other than stay as healthy as possible...
