new to this site - switching to Tecfidera

Hi everyone,

How great we can connect and share our experiences. I am about to start Tecfidera, and am fairly apprehensive about it - especially after reading all the posts. I plan to eat a proper meal, drink lots of water, and hope that plain yogurt will help the stomach problems without diminishing absorption of the drug.

I have a full time job and travel for work. I have done well on injections since diagnosis 6+ years ago, but really need a break from the shots. ---How great to have medication options these days. Important also to stay positive. Not always easy.

Please share your tips if you are on Tecfidera, or were on it and switched.

I switched from Avonex to Tecfidera in May. I have had no issues except for occasional flushing. It is important to eat protein with the morning dose to minimize effects. I have been very happy with this drug and feel better. You may want to look at the Tecfidera thread below for additional suggestions. Good luck.
